Centenary Celebration - About the Event

We are very glad to inform that Rasika Ranjana Sabha -Trichy, established in the year 1914 will be celebrating the centenary function throughout the year 2015. Our Sabha is a pioneer in promoting art, culture & harmony by organizing various cultural events. It has been scheduled to conduct various Vocal, Instruments, Dance, Drama& other literary programmes (100 programmes throughout this year) at various places in and around Trichy (Entrance Free to Art Loving people).

The Centenary pgm was inaugurated by Dr.N.Kamakodi  MD & CEO of City Union Bank and was Presided over by Shri.G.R.Moopanar President, Sri Thyagabrahma Mahotsava Sabha, Thiruvaiyaru..

The Centenary Souvenir was released by him and was received by Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Shri.A.K.C.Natarajan.  The highlight of the function was the speech by the Ninety Eight ( 98)  year old  Padma Swaminathan ( D/o  Late F.G.Natesa Iyer, Founder - Rasika Ranjana Sabha- Trichy.) In her speech she walked thru the entire history of the 100 year old sabha. To commemorate the centenary function a special cover was released under the aegis of the postal department. The Invitation containing detailed list of programmes will be mailed every month and the list is also available in the website.  Kindly treat the invitation in the website as your personal invitation. All programmes are free to public.

The souvenir released is also placed in our website and can be viewed at any time of your convenience. A versatile and senior artist of repute,  hailing from our rock city who has significantly contributed for the growth of culture is also being honoured on all the days of the centenary programs.
